Dr Megan Shakesheff is a Clinical Psychologist working with young people and adults who feel stuck in unhelpful patterns of thinking, feeling, or relating that are impacting their wellbeing, relationships, education, work, or physical health.
Dr Shakesheff works collaboratively with people to better understand these difficulties and develop new ways of moving forward. Her approach is primarily informed by Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), helping people live meaningful, values-led lives alongside life’s challenges.
Dr Shakesheff is also trained in EMDR and supports individuals who may be struggling with the impact of traumatic experiences. Alongside her therapeutic work, she is a Lead Psychologist within the Paediatric Diabetes Team at St George’s Hospital.
Dr Shakesheff has a particular interest in the psychological aspects of long-term health conditions, especially diabetes and gastroenterology, supporting individuals to manage the emotional impact of diagnosis, treatment, and living with ongoing health challenges.
